Who or what is your fashion inspiration?
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
What TV shows do you like?
Where are your favorite places to shop?
How do you stay positive?
Would you consider doing a cooking film? For example is love to see how you make your over night oats.
Can you do a skin care, hair and make up routine? You always look amazing.
We have discovered an amazing little gem of a Japanese restaurant in our small town. It has become one of our favorite spots and I feel really grateful to have it. The chefs specialize in the unique art of Teppanyaki where the food preparation takes place before your eyes on a heated steel grill. They are best known for their fillet mignon, shrimp, scallops, lobster, and of course the AMAZING sushi bar. My boys enjoy the fried rice and Jason even got into the seaweed soup and gobbled up a kappa roll.
Here is our vlog which features the chef preparing our food. The restaurant experience starts at 5:10.
Did you know that people give and receive love in specific ways? I had never thought too much about how I was showing or receiving love until I read the book The 5 Love Languages by Garry Chapman. It uncovered not only my love language but also the love languages of my family.
Through this book I discovered that my Love Language is Words of Affirmation. This means that I feel the most loved when I am verbally acknowledged and that I thrive on encouraging words.
I thought it was an excellent tool for self discovery and also an awesome way to learn more about my loved ones!

Hi everyone! How are you? We’ve been enjoying the unseasonably warm weather here in the Midwest, which I hear is about to end as a snow storm will be brewing later tonight. Regardless, the sunshine now has gotten me into full on spring cleaning mode. I randomly decided to pick up my camera and vlog so here it is! Hope you enjoy.
We had SUCH a fun family day yesterday I thought I would share bits and pieces of it with you. We decided that because it had been below zero ALL week we needed a break from the cold! We escaped by going to our local Holiday Inn which offers the public day passes to there pool and game area. It was the perfect winter blues remedy. To watch our vlog of the day please click here!
What are your favorite things to do when it is just too cold outside?
I captured some footage of our first snow since moving from Houston to Wisconsin. The boys had a blast making snow angels, building a snowman, and sledding. I’m not sure if we will do vlogmas or vlogidays but I will for sure be uploading the precious moments of this Christmas season so stay tuned! I just love this time of year.
A little piece of my heart left my body yesterday while I said goodbye to my babies as they entered the world of school. It seems like just yesterday I was praying to have them…that I was begging God to bless me with them. And now they are school aged! How time flies. What awesome little boys they have become, so brave and so sweet. I don’t think they were one bit nervous today as I dropped them off. Jonah gave me a hug and went to work on a project at the table. Jason asked me if I could stay but that desire was short lived once he noticed the other kids having fun. I tried to not let my sadness show. I wanted them to have the best time and I wanted them to know that their mommy would be okay…they didn’t need to be worried about me on their big day.
After school I took them out for ice cream and they can told me all the exciting things they learned. I am thankful they have an amazing school to attend. I am glad I have some extra time to myself. Yet, I still missed them. I guess that is just a mommy’s love and connection. Who knew I could be such a softy!
I never thought there would be another little human that would touch me as much as my own boys have. I am not the type of person that falls in love with every baby I meet or who wants to hug and snuggle all the babies. However, when I became not only an Aunt but the Godmother to my precious niece Cora, I experienced the intense love that I have for my own children once again.
It’s a pleasure to have a little Goddaughter, especially because I am so used to boys! Me and my little cupcake went shopping over the weekend, doing all things girly. It was a blast!
I wanted to share with you a fun vlogging day we had. It started as most morning do for us, with a walk to go get coffee and a muffin. We had lots of laughs trying the hyped Mac and Cheetos from Burger King. Then we spent the afternoon splashing around at the Lake…. just soaking in the fresh air and the sun while enjoying each others company. I hope you will drop by youtube to watch our little family adventures. Click here to check it out!
